An Indian restaurant on Wood Street, St Annes’ restaurant row, Imli is modern, spacious and plush. The chef-proprietor has over 25 years experience in the business and is by no means a newcomer to the local dining scene having run the popular and highly regarded Dilraj takeaway on St David’s Road North for many years. Imli literally translates as tamarind and the stylish interior has had a recent refurb and sports black leather seats, white linen tablecloths and feature lighting. Expect a traditional Indian menu with a range of chef’s specials, including the excellent Lamb Handi. Everything is cooked fresh to order and all dishes can be personalised to suit each customer’s requirements. Imli is open 365 days a year and now for Sunday Lunch too.
